Wake County Home Builder

In a competitive market there are many builders to choose from, but few have learned the construction business from the ground up, as Mark Davis of J.M. Davis Custom Homes Inc. has during his 27-year building career. Mark, as he is known to friends and family, began in the business at the age of 20 working side by side with his Uncle Jim Fields of James C. Fields and CO. Mark started as a clean-up and warranty person and began to learn all phases of home construction. After years of honing his talents as a carpenter and building customized homes, he started J.M. Davis Custom Homes Inc. in 1995.

Mark is proud of the years he spent learning the building business from the ground up. He believes this has enabled him to establish strong relationships with his subcontractors. He notes, “It is hard to ask someone to do something if you have never done it yourself.”

Mark is a passionate “hands on builder”. His approach is simple. He pours his heart into each house, customizing it to optimal functionality and use of space. He prides himself in building a home that is well organized and tailored to each client’s lifestyle.

Mark’s warm, easy to talk to personality and true passion for building opens the door to a trusting relationship with each customer. By sharing Mark’s valuable experience with the client’s own ideas, these desires can be implemented in each plan and home in the most functional cost effective way. Mark will be the first to admit that some of the best ideas come from simply listening to his customers very own ideas. Some of which he still incorporates into homes be builds today. With a keen eye and attention to detail, Mark ensures each home’s perfection with an extensive check list that not only eliminates mistakes but ensures only the highest quality of construction during the building process.

Mark’s humble beginnings, deep in the heart of North Carolina, paved the road to hard work and dedication which he believes are capstone qualities to his success. Today, he calls Wake County home.
